CILICIA, Aigeai. Year 18 (87/86 BC?). AR Tetradrachm (14.61 gm). Turreted and veiled bust of Tyche right / [AI]ΓΕΑΙΩΝ, Athena standing left, holding Nike in her right hand, spear and shield to right; ∆I and club in left field, IH in exergue, monogram to lower right. Bloesch, "Tetradrachms of Aegeae (Cilicia)," in Essays to Thompson, 4; Bloesch, "Hellenistic Coins of Aegeae (Cilicia)," in ANSMN 27 (1982), 112. VF. Extremely Rare. ($500) In his studies, Bloesch was only able to locate four tetradrachms from Aigeai, making this possibly the fifth known specimen!
